Apple announced a major update to Creator Studio, adding AI features and new tools to Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro and Pixelmator Pro. The update is scheduled to become available on the App Store in November.
Apple's major update to its creative apps for Mac, iPad and iPhone adds built-in MotionVFX content and video assets to the content hub in Final Cut Pro, along with enhanced integration with Pixelmator Pro, strengthening video workflows. Subscribers will be able to use a range of effects and templates through MotionVFX content, as well as new stock video in the content hub.
Logic Pro will receive a new intelligent assistant, an enhanced Stem Splitter, drum separation and mix adjustments, integration with the Splice library and a redesigned browser, improving the efficiency of sound production. A producer pack by Sergio George is also planned.
Pixelmator Pro will add an AI-powered fill-generation feature. Users can select an area and describe it, after which AI performs the transformation. Workflows between apps will also be enhanced, including the ability to send edits directly from Final Cut Pro back to Pixelmator Pro.
Keynote, Pages and Numbers will gain an intelligent assistant and support for the new Model Context Protocol (MCP), enabling greater automation and understanding in document creation and data processing. The content hub and premium-template offering will also be expanded, providing a broader range of creative options.
The update will become available on the App Store in November this year, and existing subscribers are expected to receive it at no additional cost.
