South Korean alternative rock band SE SO NEON performed at Billboard Live Tokyo for the first time on 30 October 2026. The concert was held in 2 parts, with a 1st stage and a 2nd stage, and featured a trio lineup with bass and drums in support. The group, centered on Hwang So-yoon, has been stepping up its activities in Japan, including events related to Ryuichi Sakamoto and self-produced projects featuring guests such as Awich.
Following changes in its membership, the group now operates as So-yoon's solo project. It has collaborated with RM, Hoshi and Woozi of SEVENTEEN as the unit HxW, as well as ENHYPEN and others. So-yoon has said that a trio is the smallest unit capable of creating harmony, and harmony among the 3 performers was central to this performance as well.
In terms of its releases, attention has been drawn to the rhythmic complexity of “Dong” and “E” from the 2020 EP “Nonadaptation,” as well as the lo-fi, full-bodied sound of “NOW” and “3 Revolution” from the 2025 1st album “NOW,” with new arrangements also anticipated for this concert. In addition, TOWA TEI's remix of “Remember!” has been newly reworked as a track on NOW, underscoring the group's strong ties to the venue, including its work on Billboard Live's theme song.
