A photography event featuring the red 1000 Series and blue 60000 Series MSE will be held at Sobudai Depot in Zama, Kanagawa. During the morning session, only the 1000 Series will be available for photography, while the afternoon session will allow photographs of the 1000 Series and MSE 60000 Series side by side.
Sobudai Depot originated as a depot opened in 1927. Today, only the storage tracks remain, and no trains are present during the day. This event is being held as a revival of an earlier event that was canceled due to weather.
During both the morning and afternoon sessions, photography will be permitted not only from the front of the trains but also from diagonally forward and side angles. Each session will provide 60 minutes of photography time.
The participation fee is ¥8,000 for adults attending the morning session and ¥10,000 for adults attending the afternoon session. The meeting point is in front of the ticket gates at Sobudai-mae Station. Participants will receive a postcard-style admission certificate, a button badge and an acrylic photo prop as commemorative items.
