FamilyMart has launched 18 products in collaboration with 18 brands to mark its 45th anniversary. The products will be launched in two phases over two weeks from 1 September, with sales targeted to increase by 5–10% in the relevant categories.
FamilyMart announced that it will sequentially launch 18 products developed in collaboration with 18 brands from the same day, marking its 45th anniversary. The collaboration is the largest in the company’s history.
The products include sobameshi made with Nissin Foods’ U.F.O. sauce and Famichiki recreating the flavor of Ebara’s Golden Sauce. The brands involved include U.F.O., Peyang, Pie no Mi, GODIVA, Ajipon and Ebara Golden Sauce. The company will also jointly develop products with PANCYO from the restaurant sector.
Following approximately one year of preparation, the collaboration products will be launched in two phases over two weeks. The promotional target is to increase sales in the relevant categories by 5–10% compared with before the initiative. The presentation was held in Tokyo on 31 August, and Noriyuki Kinoshita (木下紀之), General Manager of the Product Division, gave comments.
The first collaboration product was Bon Curry Bread, launched in 2000, and such initiatives have also contributed to higher sales. FamilyMart has previously launched Black Thunder Mochizaku Chocolate Crepe, which achieved higher sales than its regular products.
