Mitsubishi Chemical Group expects consolidated net profit for the fiscal year ending March 2027 to increase 12-fold year on year to ¥145 billion, raising its previous plan by ¥18 billion. Sales volumes of semiconductor-related products are expected to grow as AI demand increases.
Mitsubishi Chemical Group announced that consolidated net profit for the fiscal year ending March 2027 is expected to reach ¥145 billion, 12 times the previous fiscal year's level. The company also expects revenue, its sales figure, to total ¥4.06 trillion, up 10% year on year, and raised its previous plan by ¥18 billion.
The sharp increase in profit is also attributed to the rebound from impairment losses related to large-scale structural reforms carried out in the previous fiscal year. Higher sales volumes of semiconductor-related products are cited as a factor supporting earnings. Strong performance in semiconductor-related materials, particularly high-performance resins and synthetic quartz, is expected to contribute.
