Nike has announced the Pegasus Plus 2, a new shoe designed for everyday runs. The model was introduced as being suited to daily runs and faster-paced running, combining an exposed Air Zoom unit in the forefoot with ZoomX foam to enhance propulsion and responsiveness.
Nike has announced the new Nike Pegasus Plus 2. The Pegasus series has a long history, and this model is distinguished by its visible Air Zoom unit. It is positioned for tempo training in road running.
The exposed Air Zoom unit in the forefoot is combined with a midsole made from lightweight, highly resilient ZoomX foam, delivering at least 18% higher energy return than the previous model. Despite its design without a carbon plate, the shoe is said to provide a smooth ride similar to that of a racing shoe.
The versatile design is said to support various types of running, with an emphasis on a specification that combines a comfortable landing feel with propulsion. The Flash Crimson colorway is scheduled for release on 3 September, followed by Lemon Venom on 1 October, at a price of ¥22,000 (including tax).
The model is designed not only for everyday running but also for long-distance training and faster-paced running, and is presented as evoking the feel of race day.
