This report covers movements in 6 stocks during the afternoon session. Round One's domestic same-store sales in September rose approximately 38% year on year on a preliminary basis, while Life Corporation's operating profit for the first half fell 6% year on year. Safie launched a new service using AI to estimate visitor attributes, Keyware announced the development of an AI agent, Wintest's RYUGU liquid lens was adopted, and SOURCENEXT continued to report profitability in the US and Europe.
Round One turned positive during the afternoon session as of 12:30. Domestic same-store sales for September were announced as up 38.6% year on year on a preliminary basis. Contributing factors included strong performance in the prize-focused crane game area and collaboration campaigns, as well as increased visitor numbers, particularly in the Kanto region. After taking calendar effects into account, the increase is estimated to have been approximately 36% in real terms.
Life Corporation extended its decline during the afternoon session. Consolidated operating profit for the first half of fiscal 2027 was ¥12.4 billion, down 6.4% year on year and below the market consensus of ¥12.8 billion. New store openings and stronger private-label products contributed to higher earnings, but the company was unable to fully absorb increases in rent and personnel expenses, resulting in lower profit.
Safie began offering the AI app “Number Count Attribute Plus,” which enables estimation of visitor attributes. The app can handle everything from counting visitors to analysing visitor demographics, and is expected to support data-driven management decisions, although its impact on the share price was limited.
Keyware Solutions moved little. It is developing an AI agent solution that uses core business data and plans to begin offering it around May 2027. Integration with ERP systems “Biz∫” and “intra-mart” is also envisaged. Wintest's “RYUGU” liquid lens was adopted for an industrial product of a major domestic company, advancing the technology's commercialisation. SOURCENEXT's US subsidiary POCKETALK and European subsidiary remained profitable in September, resulting in a ¥210 million improvement across its overseas business.
