Nikon Imaging Japan Inc., a subsidiary of NIKON CORPORATION, announced that it will launch the top-of-the-range COOLSHOT PROIII STABILIZED in a new BLACK color in a limited quantity. The product is scheduled to go on sale on 13 November 2026, with advance reservations opening at 10:00 on 5 November.
The device features a distance-measuring system called HYPER READ, which is said to display the distance to the target in 0.1 seconds. Its STABILIZED (image stabilization) function simultaneously corrects shake in the viewfinder and movement of the laser beam.
It is equipped with Dual LOCKED ON QUAKE, a function that makes it easier to capture small targets such as pin flags. Along with displaying the distance to the nearest target, a lock indicator and vibration notification make the measurement status easier to identify. The same notifications are provided when switching the near-distance display during continuous measurement.
In terms of specifications, it can measure distances of up to 7.5–1,090m/8–1,200yd and features a red internal display, automatic brightness adjustment, an ergonomic rubber-coated body, ID TECHNOLOGY, a straight-line mode indicator and a near-distance priority algorithm. Its features are also said to include a waterproof design and an anti-fogging function using nitrogen gas filling.
