Ceres’ D2C business revenue for January to June 2026 fell 15.9% year on year, affected by Pitsole sales reaching a plateau and delays in developing new products. Meanwhile, subscription sales for the online medical consultation service SQUIZ have begun to contribute, and the company plans to expand its brand portfolio going forward.
Ceres’ D2C business revenue for January to June 2026 fell 15.9% year on year to ¥2.217 billion, while its operating result was an operating loss of ¥330 million. The main factors were the plateau in sales of Pitsole, a high-performance insole that was a hit last year, and delays in developing new products.
Meanwhile, subscription sales of products for the online medical consultation service SQUIZ, which began in April, have been strong and are beginning to contribute to results. Going forward, the company plans to expand its brand portfolio through product development and acquisitions, while accelerating the expansion of its product lineup.
The group has added DINETTE, a lash serum brand, and ISIS, a skincare brand, and is diversifying its brand portfolio. By using a structure that enables it to handle in-house media, advertising and direct sales within the group, it aims to reduce external advertising expenses and improve profitability.
