The European Commission conditionally approved Kimberly-Clark's acquisition of Kenvue. It required the sale of feminine-care brands operating in the EEA to address competition concerns in individual regions.
The European Commission conditionally approved on 13 October the plan for U.S.-based Kimberly-Clark to acquire U.S.-based Kenvue. The approval allows the businesses to be integrated, but imposes conditions to address competition concerns within the EU.
As a condition of approval, the sale of feminine-care brands operating in the EEA was required. The divestiture is intended to improve the competitive environment following the integration and address concerns about competition in individual regions.
