Two Indonesian subsidiaries of Hankyu Hanshin Express obtained halal certification from BPJPH, Indonesia’s Halal Product Assurance Organizing Agency. Certification has been completed for domestic transport services and warehouse services, respectively.
PT. HANKYU HANSHIN EXPRESS INDONESIA, an Indonesian subsidiary of Hankyu Hanshin Express, obtained halal certification for domestic transport services on 24 September. The other company, PT. HANKYU HANSHIN LOGISTICS INDONESIA, obtained halal certification for warehouse services on 10 September. This is the first halal certification obtained by the Hankyu Hanshin Express Group.
Indonesia has the world’s largest Muslim population, and efforts are under way to formally certify the halal certification system to give consumers greater peace of mind. Halal compliance is gradually becoming mandatory not only for products themselves but also for logistics services.
