恵和 is launching its new SUGORIA™ brand and plans to actively promote its PFAS-free high-performance films at exhibitions in Japan and overseas. The company will also transition to a two-representative structure while pursuing both environmental compatibility and high performance.
恵和 is a high-performance film manufacturer engaged in the processing of resin sheets and the production of light-diffusing films. It holds one of the world's leading market shares in light-diffusing films for liquid-crystal displays. The company has announced plans to change its representative-director structure in September 2026 to a two-person structure comprising Nagamura Keiichi (長村惠弌) and Noguchi Junjiro (野口順次郎), while actively promoting its new SUGORIA™ brand in Japan and overseas. SUGORIA™ is a film characterized by being PFAS-free and is positioned as part of the company's environmentally compatible management strategy.
Nagamura Keiichi (長村惠弌) explained that the company's founding principle is harmony between nature and industry, and that it has promoted product designs free of environmentally burdensome substances for many years. The company has been developing PFAS-free products since 2023, and its support from European customers was also highlighted. SUGORIA™ is expected to be developed around the company's proprietary SLC×UP initiative, which combines three core technologies—film forming, lamination and coating—with customer support.
Noguchi Junjiro (野口順次郎) discussed a development policy focused on identifying new functional needs, such as heat resistance and UV weatherability, in anticipation of growth in the automotive display market, particularly in vehicle-mounted displays, with PFAS-free products as a prerequisite. He also introduced initiatives to shorten lead times by further advancing front loading (FL), having marketing and quality control teams collaborate with customers from the initial stages of development to deepen technical discussions, and using MVP equipment that enables evaluations with a minimum number of samples.
