The Japan Security Awards Executive Committee has selected 13 finalists for 2026. They were chosen from 28 entries submitted across 3 categories through a written review by 4 judges, and will be announced and honored at the awards ceremony of AI & Security Summit 2026 on 12 November.
The awards ceremony will be held at a venue in Gotanda, Tokyo, where the winning organizations will present their initiatives as case studies. A new special award this year recognizes security measures for the AI era.
The finalists are divided among 3 categories: security governance and operations, security talent development, and security operations support. Several local governments and companies are listed in each category.
The judging panel comprises 5 members, listed in no particular order, who are experts from relevant organizations. The event as a whole is scheduled to take place as part of AI & Security Summit 2026, followed by case presentations by the winners after the awards ceremony.
