IDOM's target price cut, Stella Pharma's cooperation in promoting BNCT, possible leakage of Joshin customer information, lower 3Q earnings at 美樹工業, Proship's adoption of a new lease accounting platform, Organo's introduction of recruitment branding and other morning-session developments.
During the morning session, it was reported that IDOM's target price had been cut from ¥1,420 to ¥1,000 following an assessment by Tokai Tokyo Intelligence Lab. Second-quarter cumulative operating profit was ¥8.77 billion, up 8.6% year on year, but the full-year outlook was revised from ¥24.0 billion to ¥18.5 billion. The increase in personnel expenses and DX-related costs was cited as the main factor, and the increase in selling, general and administrative expenses was also seen as a potential drag on the share price.
Stella Pharma announced that it would work with Chinese companies to promote BNCT, and its share price has responded. Through cooperation at the China International Import Expo, the company aims to raise awareness of BNCT in mainland China and strengthen ties with relevant institutions.
Joshin plunged following the possibility of unauthorized access by a third party. The unauthorized access may have resulted in the leakage of up to approximately 6.23 million customer records, while payment information was not held. The company explained that some services remain suspended and that it is investigating the scope of the impact and working toward an early resumption.
美樹工業 fell after rising for 3 sessions, with third-quarter cumulative operating profit down 29.6% year on year at ¥1.46 billion. The increase in construction costs and personnel expenses was cited as the reason for the decline in profit.
