Toyo Seikan Group Holdings,Ltd. has signed an agreement with Chinan Town on decarbonization and will begin a demonstration test of MiraNeo Flexible Solar at the Chinan Town Telework Office. The demonstration will run from 15 October 2026 to 14 October 2028.
Toyo Seikan Group Holdings,Ltd. announced that it has signed an agreement with Chinan Town on decarbonization and other matters and will begin an operational demonstration test using its flexible solar panel, “MiraNeo Flexible Solar.” The demonstration will be conducted at the Chinan Town Telework Office from 15 October 2026 to 14 October 2028.
The demonstration test will use the panel, which incorporates an ultra-high moisture-barrier film, to measure power generation and evaluate weather resistance, installability and maintainability under Chinan Town’s climatic and environmental conditions. The company aims to overcome site-related installation constraints by improving the product, thereby helping address local challenges related to the introduction of renewable energy.
Chinan Town is working to ensure a stable energy supply, address costs and promote decarbonization, while facing challenges with ground-mounted installations of conventional solar panels and the roof conditions of public facilities. By evaluating the application of this lightweight, flexible panel at public facilities, the town and the company intend to expand opportunities for its deployment. They aim to contribute to the realization of a decarbonized society by applying the knowledge gained through the demonstration.
