Tsukuba Bank has moved from the groupware-centered work environment it had used for many years to a multi-SaaS environment combining multiple SaaS services, and has centralized authentication through SSO.
Tsukuba Bank, headquartered in Tsuchiura, Ibaraki Prefecture, reviewed its groupware-centered work environment, which it had used for more than 20 years, and moved to a multi-SaaS environment combining multiple SaaS services. In the process, it introduced the HENNGE One SSO platform and indicated a policy of centralizing authentication. Following the implementation, it is responsible for authentication for approximately 2,400 IDs.
The selection criteria for HENNGE One included automating user management associated with personnel changes, hiring and departures, as well as using SAML and SCIM. Device authentication using certificates installed on devices has also been incorporated into operations. This is intended to reduce the need to manage IDs separately for each service and the frequency of password changes.
Tsukuba Bank currently centralizes authentication for approximately 2,400 IDs through HENNGE One, and values an operating model in which end users complete authentication by pressing the “Allow” button on a smartphone as an alternative to one-time passwords. The multi-SaaS environment centered on SSO serves as a unified authentication platform for email, file sharing and communications services.
According to information announced by HENNGE on 30 October 2026, its solution combines elements including the use of SAML and SCIM and device certificates, and is designed to promote automated account management in connection with personnel changes at the bank.
