Densan System Holdings and Rikkei entered into a basic agreement for a comprehensive business partnership on 1 October 2026 and announced plans to jointly promote the migration and modernization of legacy systems using DX and AI.
The two companies entered into a confidentiality agreement in 2022 and have continued to collaborate on SaaS operations support and the development and maintenance of various business systems. The basic agreement is intended to advance the relationship into a comprehensive business partnership based on a long-term cooperation framework.
Areas of cooperation include the co-creation of technology and businesses using DX and AI, personnel exchanges and development, and business expansion in Japan and overseas. The companies envisage creating new businesses through joint research and development. Their initial focus will be the migration and modernization of existing legacy systems.
The two companies will combine their resources and expertise to strengthen proposals and support using advanced technologies such as generative AI. The cooperation framework will also be strengthened through project execution capabilities supported by PMO functions and global engineering resources.
At the MOU signing ceremony held at RIKKEI GLOBAL SUMMIT 2026 on 9 October 2026, the presidents of the two companies appeared together and confirmed that they would progressively develop the details of their future cooperation framework.
