Estimated trading value on the TSE Prime Market was ¥745.0 billion. By sector, oil and coal, other products, and nonferrous metals rose, while banks, securities and commodity futures, and precision instruments fell. FIG hit its daily price limit after announcing that a group company had developed the mobile manipulator “WILL-MoMa” for semiconductor manufacturers. Daikoku Denki plunged after reporting a substantial decline in first-quarter profit.
Alongside the Nikkei's contribution ranking and sector movements, the sharp moves in FIG and Daikoku Denki were major drivers of the market's performance.
