Palace Hotel Hakone will reopen in autumn 2029 on the former site of Palace Hotel Hakone in Hakone. Kyushu Electric Power and クラフティア will establish a new company, which is expected to operate the group’s 4th property in Japan.
Palace Hotel Hakone is scheduled to reopen in autumn 2029 on the former site of “Palace Hotel Hakone” in Hakone, Kanagawa Prefecture. The hotel will return 11 years after the existing property closed and will operate as a 69-room hotel within Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park. The property will include 6 suites and 5 villas, with outdoor baths planned for every room.
The project will be carried out through a new company established mainly by Kyushu Electric Power and クラフティア, formerly Kyudenko. The new company will operate the hotel, which is expected to be the 4th property operated domestically.
The hotel is planned to be approximately 30% smaller than the former property, with development proceeding on the premise of conserving the site’s environment and making use of its tourism resources. Room sizes will range from 69 to 271 square meters.
