Belgium’s ASCO Industries has announced plans to build an aircraft-parts factory on a 6,000 m² site in Da Nang, Vietnam. The initial investment will be USD 20 million, with the project expected to expand to USD 100 million in the future and operations targeted to begin in 2027.
ASCO Industries, a subsidiary of Swiss aerospace group Montana Aerospace, has announced plans to establish an aircraft-parts factory in Da Nang City. The new factory will occupy a 6,000 m² site, with an initial investment of USD 20 million and plans to expand the investment to USD 100 million. Operations are targeted to begin in 2027.
The project is based on a cooperation agreement between the Da Nang City People’s Committee and ASCO Industries and is aligned with related investment by Montana Aerospace. ASCO supplies components to Airbus, Boeing and Lockheed Martin, and regards Vietnam as an important production base.
Montana Aerospace has previously made substantial investments in the Da Nang Hi-Tech Park, and the construction of ASCO’s new factory is viewed as part of this strategy. Discussions on the factory project are scheduled to take place during a local visit in early December, and the development of Da Nang’s aerospace sector may continue to be promoted.
