ANA Trading renewed its long-running common platform system, migrating AgileWorks to Azure and adopting DataSpider for data integration. With hands-on support, it advanced the standardisation of operations and strengthened governance, substantially reducing the operational burden.
ANA Trading decided to renew its common platform system for the group in response to the ageing of the system and the increasing operational burden. It chose to continue using the existing AgileWorks while migrating to an Azure infrastructure, and adopted DataSpider for data integration with the aim of making data flows more visible and improving efficiency.
Several vendors were considered for the implementation, but rather than opting exclusively for SaaS from the standpoint of operational demands and total cost, the company adopted a combination of using existing assets and migrating to the cloud. It selected Softcreate and sought to reduce the operational burden by establishing an integrated management structure for the infrastructure and applications.
The project proceeded through a planning phase of approximately 1 year, with the actual implementation completed over approximately 1 year. The renewal of the data integration platform, including the switch to DataSpider, resolved areas where specifications had been unclear, secured scalability, and improved the ability to respond to requests from business teams for new reports.
As a result, operational efficiency and governance across the group improved, while the consolidation of points of contact substantially reduced the burden of contract renewals and incident response. Hands-on support strengthened coordination between the vendor and business teams, and continued improvements are expected, with the use of AI and further functional enhancements under consideration.
