SHINAGAWA REFRA CO.,LTD. has decided to make capital investments to increase production capacity at its domestic production sites in response to growing demand in growth markets, including semiconductor-related fields. The investments, including those at group companies, will strengthen the firing and precision processing capacity for fine ceramics components, as well as production capacity for high-performance insulation materials, for which demand is growing in advanced industrial fields.
In the advanced equipment sector, the Bizen Plant will add a high-temperature firing kiln to double firing capacity. The investment of approximately ¥200 million is expected to bring the facility into operation in July 2027. At the Setouchi Plant, new high-precision processing equipment will be installed, with approximately ¥300 million invested and operations expected to begin in April 2027.
In the insulation materials sector, Isolite Kogyo plans to strengthen molding and firing equipment for PCW molded products and substantially increase production capacity. The investment will total approximately ¥350 million, with operations targeted to begin in July 2027.
Going forward, the SHINAGAWA REFRA Group will continue expanding its business in growth markets by leveraging its materials, manufacturing and processing technologies related to ceramics, while working to strengthen its stable supply structure.
