Yokogawa Electric has received orders from Kawasaki Heavy Industries for a control system for a 40,000-cubic-meter-class liquefied hydrogen carrier, among the world's largest, and an integrated control system for hydrogen-fueled vessels. The systems provide integrated monitoring of onboard equipment and emergency shutdown functionality, supporting safe and efficient operation.
Yokogawa Electric has received orders from Kawasaki Heavy Industries for a control system for a 40,000-cubic-meter-class liquefied hydrogen carrier, which will be among the world's largest, and control systems for 2 hydrogen-fueled vessels.
The system for the liquefied hydrogen carrier provides integrated monitoring and control of onboard equipment and includes an emergency shutdown function. This will support the safe and efficient transport of liquefied hydrogen at extremely low temperatures and help reduce the burden on crew members.
For the hydrogen supply systems installed on the hydrogen-fueled vessels, Yokogawa Electric will provide control systems integrating control, monitoring and safety functions. Both types of vessel will be built as part of NEDO's Green Innovation Fund project.
