NHN Techorus and Ragate worked together from the joint proposal stage through development on a project to deploy generative AI within a closed network for government agencies, and have formally won the contract. Using a Google Cloud platform and dedicated lines, the companies will divide responsibility for selecting AI services, developing the web UI and implementing security measures to establish an environment that meets stringent requirements.
Ragate Co., Ltd. and NHN Techorus have made public their track record of jointly proposing and developing a major project involving the deployment of generative AI for government agencies. The companies aim to establish an operating environment for business use of generative AI within a closed network that is not directly connected to the internet, while meeting stringent security requirements including data encryption.
The project’s division of responsibilities is described as follows: NHN Techorus will build the Google Cloud platform, provide dedicated lines, manage licenses and the environment, and oversee the project as a whole, while Ragate will select and build the AI services, develop the web UI, handle requirements definition, design, implementation and testing, and provide consulting services including BPR/AX. The proposal structure combines the strengths of both companies across these areas.
The background requirements include operating a closed network to handle highly confidential government-agency data securely, encryption operations, authentication and access control, log and data management, establishing a generative AI execution environment within the closed network, designing and developing the web UI, business analysis and requirements definition, and preparing proposal materials for review processes. The companies’ ability to address these requirements comprehensively is emphasized.
At present, the validation phase, led by the departments taking part in the initial rollout, is under way. The companies have also indicated a policy of strengthening collaboration going forward in the government, public-sector and enterprise fields.
