The team included its new additions, and the venue was packed with 4,418 spectators.
The team won in straight sets, taking the match 25-16, 25-20 and 25-23. The starting lineup included last season's core players Sakurai Miki (櫻井美樹), Tanaka Saki (田中咲希), Ito Mao (伊藤麻緒), Mira Todorova, Nonaka Rui (野中瑠衣) and Camilla Mingardi, while libero Inoue Fuka (井上芙香) made her first appearance as a new addition.
