ABEJA entered into a contract with the Acquisition, Technology & Logistics Agency's Ground Systems Research Center to verify a vision-language-action model and examine an operational platform. The delivery date is 26 March 2027, and the company will proceed with additional training and the definition of requirements for a practical framework, with a view to autonomous UGV driving.
ABEJA announced that it had entered into a contract with the Ground Systems Research Center of the Acquisition, Technology & Logistics Agency for "services to verify a vision-language-action model and examine an operational platform." The vision-language-action model covered by the contract integrates the processing of visual information, natural language and specific actions, and is positioned as part of efforts to achieve autonomous UGV driving in off-road environments.
The contract covers verification of the vision-language-action model, additional training, definition of requirements for developing VLAOps, preparation of work reports and implementation of work-reporting meetings. In cooperation with the Acquisition, Technology & Logistics Agency, ABEJA will proceed with verification for implementation and the development of an operating structure.
As a continuation of its contract with the agency in January 2026 for "services to verify a vision-language-action model," ABEJA has set the delivery date for this project as 26 March 2027.
Through this initiative, the company is expected to advance studies and further training toward full-scale implementation of autonomous UGV driving in off-road environments, as well as develop the operating structure.
