Lib Work announced on the 25th that it had entered into a capital and business partnership with V3D Asia. The investment represents approximately 10%, is not subject to consolidation, and the companies will pursue a joint project to establish local construction capabilities and achieve lower prices.
The partnership aims to expand the overseas business and reduce costs for 3D-printed construction. The investment represents approximately 10% of the voting rights, is not included in another company’s consolidated financial statements, and does not directly change the management of V3D Asia as a result of the investment.
The companies will conduct demonstrations and pursue joint projects for a housing-supply model using materials that can be sourced locally, focusing on Indonesia and Malaysia. By leveraging V3D Asia’s construction track record and network in Southeast Asia and establishing lower-cost and local supply capabilities, they aim to capture housing demand.
The companies will also promote cooperation using their respective technologies and business platforms toward demonstrations and commercialisation of 3D-printed housing in Japan. They aim to standardise construction quality, improve reproducibility and establish the technological foundation supporting mass production and business expansion. They will also jointly develop new products combining expertise in materials, equipment, construction and housing design.
