Maxell will begin mass production of an all-solid-state battery backup module equipped with the ceramic-packaged all-solid-state battery “PSB401010H” in early November and begin domestic sales as a backup power supply for factory automation equipment during power outages.
Maxell will begin mass production in early November of an all-solid-state battery backup module equipped with the ceramic-packaged all-solid-state battery “PSB401010H.” The module is intended for industrial equipment and will move to mass production following test operation aimed at reducing battery replacement work inside factories and ensuring stable backup operation.
The module uses output voltages compatible with ER batteries (3.6V) and CR batteries (3.0V), with 2 capacities available for each type, for a lineup of 4 models. The expected service life is said to be 10 years or more, with the module expected to reduce the work required to replace primary batteries and lower the risk of downtime. Heat resistance is secured up to 85°C.
The product is also scheduled to be exhibited at various trade shows in 2026, with the aim of expanding applications in the backup power supply market for factory automation equipment. Under its “Micro batteries. Maximum impact.” philosophy, Maxell is exploring applications in areas requiring high reliability, high heat resistance, high output and large capacity.
The attached materials include an overview of the “all-solid-state battery backup module” product and state that verification with industrial equipment is required.
