An exhibition recreating Cyborg 009 as contemporary art opened on the 10th in the Exchange Area on the 1st floor of the Ishinomori Manga Museum in Ishinomaki. The venue will display and sell 12 works, and the exhibition will run through the 11th.
The works were created as Metal Canvas Art (MCA), which combines the texture of metal materials with three-dimensional expression. The art is described as creating depth and a sense of solidity, with its visual appearance changing according to the way the light falls and the viewing angle.
This is the final event in an exhibition that has toured 5 cities, including Tokyo and Osaka. Works using original artwork from Cyborg 009 will be displayed, highlighting the presence of characters such as Shimamura Joe (島村ジョー) and Françoise Arnoul (フランソワーズ・アルヌール).
Admission is free and no reservation is required. In addition to the sale of the works, limited-edition postcards will be distributed to visitors. Sakamoto Hazuki (坂本葉月) of GAAAT's Alliance Division has commented on her pleasure at the event being held in the area.
