Kawai Indonesia, Kawai Musical Instruments Manufacturing Co.,Ltd.'s production base, has completed its new Third Plant in Karawang Regency, West Java, Indonesia. It will expand the site and building and strengthen production of digital and hybrid pianos.
Kawai Indonesia, Kawai Musical Instruments Manufacturing Co.,Ltd.'s production base, is building a new Third Plant in Karawang Regency, West Java, Indonesia, to increase digital piano production capacity. Total investment is approximately ¥4 billion, with a site area of approximately 50,000 square metres and a building area of approximately 22,000 square metres.
The new plant will introduce labor-saving and automated equipment to improve production efficiency and strengthen quality control. It will serve as a production base for a broad range of digital pianos, from portable and standard models to hybrid models. The site is approximately 2.5 times the size of the former plant, and production capacity will be raised to approximately twice its previous level.
The project is positioned as an expansion of the production base to meet growing demand in global markets, and Kawai Musical Instruments Manufacturing Co.,Ltd. will strengthen its supply structure in Indonesia.
