CHIYODA CO.,LTD. has launched dial-type Spat Shoes. The shoes will go on sale in September 2026 at ¥5,390. CHIYODA CO.,LTD. announced a new product, dial-equipped Spat Shoes that can be put on while standing without using one’s hands. Designed for active children, the shoes allow the fit to be finely adjusted to the foot simply by turning the dial, reducing the need to retie shoelaces. They will launch in September 2026 at ¥5,390 including tax.
Spat Shoes were introduced as a men’s series in 2021 and have been well received for their easy on-and-off design and secure fit. As of February 2026, cumulative sales for the series had exceeded 5 million pairs, and the number of repeat customers continues to grow. This dial-type model strengthens the dial mechanism that has become a standard feature of the line for use by active children.
Key features of the dial sneaker type include a shoehorn-shaped heel that allows the wearer to put on the shoes without using their hands, and a side-mounted dial that enables fine adjustment of the fit. This design holds the foot securely during sports and running.
Related information includes the fact that one of Asia’s largest international multi-sport events will be held in Japan for the first time in 32 years, and that a Sports Agency survey conducted in 2025 found total physical-fitness scores among elementary and junior-high students had improved from fiscal 2024. Against this backdrop, Spat Shoes are positioned as footwear that supports active children’s movement.
