Calbee announced on the 6th that it had launched its new corn snack brand POP LAYERS in Thailand, positioning the Asia-Oceania region as a priority market for the product's multi-layered structure. The company is also considering expansion beyond the region. Initial sales began on the 8th at 7-Eleven, which has approximately 16,000 stores in Thailand. The 2 flavors other than BBQ, Salt and Cheese, are scheduled to be rolled out gradually to supermarkets and other outlets.
The product is available in 3 flavors: Salt, Cheese and BBQ. The in-store price is 20 baht (approximately ¥94). The 7-Eleven-exclusive BBQ flavor is excluded, while the other 2 flavors will later be expanded to other local sales channels.
