Sansha Electric Manufacturing Co., Ltd. has begun accepting orders for a new converter for solar power generation and batteries. The 250 kW multi-use bidirectional DC/DC converter can be expanded by connecting up to 4 units, and is designed to shorten recovery time after a fault by allowing faulty sections to be replaced.
Sansha Electric Manufacturing Co., Ltd. announced on the 1st that it had begun accepting orders for a new product that controls the voltage of solar power generation systems and other equipment. The product can control multiple types of equipment, including batteries and fuel cells, simultaneously, addressing demand for greater efficiency from equipment installation and maintenance through future expansion.
The new product is a 250 kW multi-use bidirectional DC/DC converter with a modular design. Even if part of a module fails, operation can continue using the other modules, and the design allows the faulty section to be replaced.
Up to 4 modules can be connected, allowing total capacity to be expanded to the megawatt class. This could help reduce equipment downtime and recovery time.
As demand for decarbonization grows worldwide, power systems combining solar power generation, batteries and hydrogen-related equipment are becoming more widespread. The company is expected to capture demand for efficiency throughout the process, from equipment installation and maintenance to future expansion.
