The AI security system AI Security asilla has been officially introduced at Amu Plaza Nagasaki, a commercial facility in Nagasaki Prefecture. The deployment is being carried out through collaboration between JR Nagasaki City, which oversees the facility, and JR Kyushu Secom, which operates a security business, with the aim of enhancing safety management through AI-powered video analysis 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
AI Security asilla uses footage from existing security cameras to detect emergencies such as falls and sudden illness in real time and notify security guards. It also detects risk events such as crouching, prolonged loitering and entry into restricted areas. By speeding up initial response at the scene, the system aims to prevent incidents before they occur.
This is the first deployment at a commercial facility in Nagasaki Prefecture. It is positioned as an initiative to improve security quality through coordination between AI and people. The stated objective is to help create an environment in which visitors can use Amu Plaza Nagasaki with confidence, as the “land gateway to Nagasaki.”
The deployment is also intended to address staff shortages. Using AI-based video analysis is expected to strengthen the system for supporting safety throughout the facility even with limited personnel. Operations will begin in October 2026.
