HUGE, which operates Rigoletto, has announced plans to acquire すぱじろうジャパン. The acquisition is expected to be completed by early November and will be its first M&A since coming under L Catterton's ownership.
As fund-led consolidation in the restaurant industry gathers pace, HUGE has indicated plans to acquire すぱじろうジャパン. The acquisition is expected to be completed by early November.
U.S. investment fund L Catterton acquired a 67% stake in HUGE in December 2025. The acquisition is expected to be HUGE's first M&A since coming under the fund's ownership.
The acquisition price has not been disclosed, but すぱじろうジャパン, which currently operates 13 すぱじろう locations in Japan, is reportedly planning to expand its domestic presence to 100 stores.
The move is seen as part of the broader increase in M&A activity among restaurant companies and is expected to keep fund-led corporate restructuring, including at HUGE, in the spotlight.
