Hokuriku Electric Power has announced 6 measures to secure and develop human resources across the group. The strategy is intended to achieve both a stable power supply and corporate growth amid population decline.
For career development support, the company plans to introduce a short-term programme during fiscal 2026 that will allow employees to gain brief experience in the department they wish to challenge themselves in, and will establish a consultation service staffed by career consultants.
As an initiative to promote the participation of diverse talent, the company noted that its employment rate for people with disabilities was 2.91% as of June 2026, above the statutory employment rate of 2.7% as of 1 July.
The company has positioned fiscal 2026 as the “first year of group management” and plans to secure talent across the group and create an environment in which employees can thrive. Recruitment activities and training by employee level will be conducted jointly.
