After the market close, Hoden Seimitsu upwardly revised its consolidated earnings forecast for the fiscal year ending February 2027, raising revenue from ¥16.719 billion to ¥17.067 billion, operating income from ¥1.436 billion to ¥1.832 billion and net income from ¥866 million to ¥1.151 billion. Its year-end dividend forecast was also raised from ¥20 to ¥25.
The earnings upside was attributed to increased demand for aircraft engine components amid growth in passenger and cargo demand, as well as higher demand for defense equipment following the expansion of the defense buildup program. These factors supported strong performance in the electrical discharge machining and surface treatment businesses.
In the mold segment, higher sales of high-value-added molds for ceramic honeycomb extrusion also contributed. The figures announced at the same time for the interim period ended August were revenue of ¥8.636 billion, operating income of ¥1.132 billion and net income of ¥732 million.
