ITOKI group company DALTON has signed an exclusive distributor agreement in Japan with Swiss company Stäubli. It plans to integrate robot solutions with aseptic and containment technologies and accelerate automation initiatives in the pharmaceutical and semiconductor sectors.
ITOKI group company DALTON signed an exclusive distributor agreement with Stäubli at 10:30 on the 29th for Stäubli's industrial robot business in Japan.
The agreement will serve as a catalyst for efforts to combine Stäubli's robot solutions with ITOKI's aseptic and containment technologies, with Stäubli's robot solutions at the core.
The company plans to accelerate expansion into the pharmaceutical sector with solutions that integrate aseptic manufacturing equipment and automation technologies, rather than offering standalone robots alone.
The company said it will contribute to higher productivity, reduced labor requirements and improved quality by proposing automation solutions for manufacturing and production sites requiring stringent quality control. However, some market participants believe the impact on the share price will be limited.
