Using Invoice Manager 2026, TKC issued a Peppol-format digital invoice to Morinaga Milk Industry, which received and stored it through WAP’s HUE Digital Invoice. The companies demonstrated digital integration between different services through an actual transaction.
Without undertaking new bespoke development, TKC issued a Peppol-format digital invoice using Invoice Manager 2026. Morinaga Milk Industry received and stored it through WAP’s HUE Digital Invoice and will use it in subsequent accounting processes. The 3 companies confirmed through an actual transaction the end-to-end digitization of invoice issuance, receipt, storage and use via Peppol.
The explanation of the background and significance noted that, while business processes based on paper and PDFs remain in place, digital invoices enable data integration, reducing manual data entry and checking, preventing errors, and improving the efficiency of accounting processes. Morinaga Milk Industry has been reviewing its invoice-receipt operations since 2024 and aims to optimize its operations as a whole, including the use of data.
As part of the initiative, the companies are promoting collaboration as executive members of the Electronic Invoice Promotion Association (EIPA). TKC provides the issuing environment, Morinaga Milk Industry stores and uses received data, and WAP seeks to strengthen integration with other services. Invoices are sent and received through the Peppol network, demonstrating connectivity across differences between the issuer’s and recipient’s services.
Looking ahead, the 3 companies intend to promote adoption beyond connections between individual companies. They aim to generate spillover effects including support for issuing companies migrating to digital invoices, expansion of business partners, and back-office reform. The companies indicated that the spread of Peppol invoices will facilitate data integration among the diverse services used by business partners.
