Takachiho Koheki announced that it will expand its pilot offering to support Japanese companies seeking to enter India in selecting local manufacturing partners. The service supports the identification of candidate companies that meet required quality standards and the development of procurement systems.
Takachiho Koheki will expand its pilot offering to support Japanese companies seeking to enter the Indian market or expand their local operations in selecting local manufacturing partners and developing manufacturing and procurement systems. In response to the needs of Japanese companies, the service covers a broad range of activities, including market research, meetings with local companies, and supply chain design, in addition to providing information on candidate companies.
The initiative is driven in part by the Indian government’s promotion of Make in India and the expansion of local production. Key challenges include gathering information on local partners, assessing their quality-control capabilities, and establishing commercial channels. Since November 2025, Takachiho Koheki has visited approximately 15 cities in India and held meetings with and conducted site visits at more than 100 companies. It will use the knowledge gained through these activities to support Japanese companies entering India.
The service will cover the selection of local partners based on product specifications, quality requirements, and production volumes; the identification of potential suppliers of electronic components, printed circuit boards, metal parts, and resin parts; the design of supply chains covering manufacturing, component procurement, logistics, and quality control; and meetings, negotiations, and progress management with local companies. Support for developing sales channels is also included.
