Accenture and SAP Japan announced on 24 April 2026 that they would strengthen their strategic partnership to support ERP implementations designed around the use of AI. The companies will expand S/4HANA Cloud implementations and adjacent AI services, focusing primarily on the mid-sized and small-business market.
Accenture and SAP Japan have strengthened their strategic partnership to promote AI-enabled ERP implementations. They aim to position ERP implementation support as an AI-ready foundation and expand their reach in the untapped mid-sized and small-business market.
The core of the offering will be implementation of SAP’s S/4HANA public cloud ERP, with a big-bang approach envisaged to simultaneously overhaul multiple functions, including accounting, sales and procurement. After implementation, the companies will also develop adjacent cloud services, including a data platform designed to support the use of AI. The implementation period is expected to be approximately one year, with cost reduction also a goal.
They will also strengthen customer-success services focused on creating value after implementation. Accenture and SAP Japan will jointly establish a dedicated SAP Cloud ERP team to support operational adoption and the advancement of business processes through the use of AI. The target customers are companies with annual revenue in the tens to hundreds of billions of yen, and the companies aim to expand their reach.
The announcement is part of ADVANCE, announced in 2025, and is positioned as a cloud migration support program for high-growth companies targeting annual revenue of US$5 billion.
