WSP will acquire GCM Corpo, strengthening its industrial consulting platform and digital capabilities in Canada. The acquisition is seen as a step supporting WSP’s global strategy.
WSP announced that it will acquire GCM Corpo, a Canadian industrial advisory firm. The acquisition will expand WSP’s business platform in Canada and strengthen its scale and expertise to respond to changes in the energy and industrial markets.
GCM Corpo has approximately 83,000 employees across 50 countries, including approximately 12,500 based in Canada. WSP aims to strengthen its digital capabilities by incorporating GCM Corpo’s smart operations management platform and 30 years of industrial IT experience into its IT portfolio.
The acquisition is expected to support WSP’s 2025–2027 Global Strategic Action Plan, with the aim of strengthening its regional network and capabilities against the backdrop of growth in Canada’s energy and industrial markets.
As a priority for expansion, WSP will deepen its business platform in the industrial centres of Western Canada, Eastern Canada and Quebec, while also using GCM Corpo’s customer base to strengthen its full-service offering.
The move is part of WSP’s efforts to accelerate the integration of large-scale projects and digital solutions in Canada, and is expected to support long-term growth in the energy, mining and industrial sectors.
