Mazda's global sales for April–September 2024 rose 1% year on year to 616,000 units. Despite launching the new CX-5 in Japan, the United States, and Europe, overall sales growth was limited.
Mazda reported global sales of 616,000 units for April–September, up just 1% year on year. Although the new model of its flagship CX-5 has been launched in its major markets, overall growth has slowed.
The global sales target for fiscal 2026 is 1.324 million units, an 8% increase from the previous fiscal year, making expansion from October onward essential to achieving the target.
By region, Europe recorded 85,000 units, up 16%, Japan 72,000 units, up 6%, and the United States 215,000 units, up 3%. Sales incentives, meanwhile, remained high, and local sales of the CX-70 are expected to end soon.
Other markets, including Australia and Southeast Asia, recorded 209,000 units, down 8%. Australia fell 18% to 36,000 units, as gasoline prices weighed on vehicles with internal-combustion engines. Sales in Saudi Arabia also declined due to the situation in the Middle East.
