Ninja Meshi's new gummies, Tekkin Red Energy Flavor, have launched. Each bag provides 15g of collagen-derived protein, with a carbohydrate-to-protein ratio of 3.5:1, zero fat and added vitamins B6 and C. The flavor resembles a tart energy drink, and the assortment includes bolt-shaped and nut-shaped gummies.
Tekkin Red Energy Flavor is being released at convenience stores nationwide from today, although release dates vary by region and store. One bag is priced at ¥257 including tax at Seven-Eleven stores in Tokyo. It contains 82g, compared with 45g for the existing Ninja Meshi Hagane Muscat Flavor, and the article also says that Tekkin is slightly cheaper per gram.
Kabaya Foods is also launching Tough Gummy PROTEIN White Soda & Strawberry Soda from the same day, and the article notes that efforts to promote protein are spreading across the gummy industry.
The review says that Tekkin is harder in texture than the previously sold Ninja Meshi Hagane. Its flavor is described as resembling an energy drink without a strong aftertaste. The review also mentions the retail price of ¥257 including tax at Seven-Eleven stores in Tokyo and the 82g serving size.
