ENECHANGE will transfer all shares of its consolidated subsidiary ENECHANGE Customer Service to PORT for ¥200 million. The transfer is scheduled to take place on 1 December, and the company is expected to record an extraordinary gain of approximately ¥200 million in the fiscal year ending March 2027.
ENECHANGE announced that it will transfer all shares of its subsidiary ENECHANGE Customer Service to PORT. The subsidiary takes over the business centred on call centres and an agency network for switching household electricity and gas providers. The transfer price is ¥200 million, and PORT is the transferee. The move indicates a policy of divesting the loss-making business and redirecting resources to growth areas.
The transfer is scheduled to be completed on 1 December, and an extraordinary gain of approximately ¥200 million is expected to be recorded in the fiscal year ending March 2027. The company explained that recurring revenue arising from existing contracts is expected to continue to accrue to ENECHANGE.
Through the restructuring, ENECHANGE is expected to concentrate its investment resources in growth areas while maintaining a structure that will allow it to continue receiving existing contract-based revenue.
