On 29 October, Kureha revised and released its consolidated first-half results on an IFRS basis, changing its net profit forecast from ¥5 billion to ¥7.5 billion and turning the outlook to a year-on-year increase.
Kureha revised its consolidated first-half results, changing its previous net profit forecast from ¥5 billion to ¥7.5 billion. Net profit was ¥6.31 billion in the same period of the previous year. As a result, first-half net profit is expected to increase while maintaining the previous forecast of a profit.
The revision was attributed to an expected outperformance in revenue against the previous forecast. In the Functional Products segment, sales for EV applications exceeded assumptions, while sales for ESS applications declined, with overall sales nevertheless increasing. Strong orders in the Environmental segment also contributed.
The revised first-half financial indicators are revenue of ¥87 billion, operating profit of ¥10.5 billion, ordinary profit of ¥10.5 billion, net profit of ¥7.5 billion, revised EPS of ¥196.2 and revised dividend per share of ¥108. The announcement date is 29 October 2026, and the accounting standard is IFRS.
The full-year outlook remains unchanged at a profit, and the company plans to continue reviewing its quarterly plans.
