The Electromagnetic Shielding Research Institute has entered into a business partnership with Standard Link, aiming to strengthen digital infrastructure by combining electromagnetic protection technology with Physical AI. The companies will jointly develop technologies and solutions supporting continuous operation for AI data centres and critical infrastructure.
The Electromagnetic Shielding Research Institute has entered into a business partnership agreement with Standard Link based on the operation of digital infrastructure in the AI era. The partnership will combine electromagnetic protection technology with technologies including Physical AI, sensing and distributed AI computing infrastructure to develop solutions addressing electromagnetic risks and supporting continuous operation at AI data centres, critical infrastructure and industrial facilities. The companies plan to collaborate on joint proposals, technical evaluations and research and development to improve the resilience of entire facilities.
The background to the partnership includes the growing importance of digital infrastructure such as data centres with the spread of generative AI and cloud services, as well as growing social concern over electromagnetic risks. The Electromagnetic Shielding Research Institute is advancing research, development and practical implementation of electromagnetic-wave shielding technology, and aims to expand into AI infrastructure and industrial fields through the partnership. Standard Link promotes the implementation of vertically integrated Physical AI and will serve as an orchestrator integrating the technologies of both companies.
The partnership covers 4 areas: applying electromagnetic protection technology to AI data centres and distributed AI infrastructure; technical collaboration in Physical AI and edge AI; joint proposals for critical infrastructure and defence-related fields; and joint research, technical evaluation and product development. The Electromagnetic Shielding Research Institute will consider protection suited to operational environments by integrating its electromagnetic protection technology with Standard Link’s AI-related technologies.
