Nikon has unveiled the new full-frame mirrorless Z5IIC, featuring a lightweight body designed for everyday use with a new viewfinder-free design. It is scheduled to go on sale in October 2026.
Nikon has announced the new full-frame mirrorless Z5IIC. Available in silver and black, it is priced at ¥214,830 (including tax) for the body only.
The Z5IIC does not have a viewfinder and is a finderless camera that uses the rear monitor as the primary means of checking composition. Weighing approximately 620g including the battery and SD card, it has been made lighter by approximately 80g compared with the Z5II, which weighs approximately 700g.
The rear monitor uses a vari-angle design, supporting a range of shooting angles, including low-angle and overhead photography. Although it does not have a viewfinder, the camera is said to provide stable shooting.
The Z5IIC adds fish to its subject-detection capabilities. This allows the camera to focus on fish as subjects, reducing the burden of photography.
The SCN scene mode is included for the first time. Selecting from 15 automatic settings automatically optimizes the white balance and Picture Control. The camera also includes Picture Controls, Imaging Recipes, and a Film Grain function that supports video, broadening the range of expression available for everyday use.
The launch date is explicitly stated as “Z5IIC is scheduled to go on sale on 23 October 2026.”
