The secretary-general of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council warned that countries cooperating with US sanctions would be regarded as enemies and that crude oil supplies through the Strait of Hormuz would be halted. He also suggested that crude oil export routes through the Red Sea could be targeted.
Rezaei (レザイ), secretary-general of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, warned that countries cooperating with the Trump administration’s sanctions against Iran, to be announced on the 24th, would be “regarded as enemies,” and cautioned that not a single drop of crude oil would be allowed to leave the Strait of Hormuz for cooperating countries.
Regarding the US attack, Rezaei (レザイ) said it had imposed a heavy cost on the American people, US allies including Japan, and the world. He claimed that the sanctions were being imposed because the United States had been unable to win its military operation.
He also stated explicitly that crude oil export routes through the Red Sea, which bypass the Strait of Hormuz, would be targeted. He said that the Houthis were attacking commercial vessels in the Red Sea.
