SMASH国際監査法人 announced today that it has established a new “India Desk” specializing in Japan-India cross-border matters, against a backdrop of Japanese companies expanding into the Indian market and Indian companies increasing investment in Japan. The India Desk will serve as a contact point providing practical, hands-on support in accounting, auditing, tax, internal controls, M&A, PMI and group governance in both Japan and India. The initiative reflects the reorganization of business bases and expanding growth opportunities in the two markets.
The desk plans to assign certified public accountants with expertise in Indian business and provide services covering Japan-India cross-border transactions, accounting and tax compliance at local subsidiaries, and the development of internal controls. Its target clients include Japanese companies with subsidiaries or business bases in India, as well as Indian companies considering expansion into the Japanese market.
